1. zNetLaB does not provide vendor images
zNetLaB is a platform for building and running network labs. We do not provide, sell, license or distribute any vendor's software image — Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks or any other. Vendor names appear on this site only to say which images the platform can run; zNetLaB is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any of them.
- Open-source devices — FRRouting, VyOS, OpenWrt, BIRD, Linux distributions and similar — are offered to everyone under their own open-source licences.
- Vendor devices run only from your own image. You upload a copy you obtained lawfully and hold a licence for, under Profile → My images. It is kept in your account's private space, runs only for you, and is never shown or offered to anybody else.
- Before uploading you confirm that you hold a valid licence for the image. You are responsible for that licence and for following its terms.
- When the same file is uploaded by more than one account, the server may store its bytes once. Each account still has its own copy under its own control, and no account can reach another's.
- Licence-generation tools are never accepted, and zNetLaB does not alter, bypass
or work around any vendor's licence checks. Online, licence files are not accepted either. On
zNetLaB Desktop, which runs on your own computer, you may add the licence file you hold from the
vendor (for Cisco IOL, your own
iourc); it stays on your computer and zNetLaB never creates or edits it.
2. Reporting an image or content used without permission
If you own the rights in software or content on a zNetLaB server, or act for the owner, and believe it is being used without permission, send a notice through the Contact page with the subject Copyright notice, including:
- your name, organisation and contact details, and your authority to act for the rights owner;
- the work you say is being infringed (for example the product name and version);
- where it appears on zNetLaB, in as much detail as you can (file name, page, account name if known);
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised, and that the information in the notice is accurate.
3. What we do with a notice
- We acknowledge it within 24 hours.
- We disable access to the reported image or content, normally within 36 hours, while it is looked at.
- We tell the account that uploaded it, which may answer with evidence of its licence.
- An account that repeatedly uploads material it has no right to use is closed.
- We aim to resolve every complaint within 15 days.
4. Grievance Officer
The Grievance Officer for zNetLaB is Shyam Babu. Complaints about content on zNetLaB, including copyright notices, can be sent to support@znetlab.com with the subject Grievance, or through the Contact page. They are acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 15 days.
